Gutsy Gibbon

The latest version  of *Ubuntu is 7.10, codenamed Gutsy Gibbon. I’ve been using gutsy from alpha 2 or 3 about a month or so ago, and it has been rock solid for me (your mileage may vary) so if you already use *ubuntu I recommend  upgrading, as the bugs are mostly fixed now, The official release is in 13 days, so I’d wait till then if you can’t spare a little patience or are using an ati card. The command to upgrade is  gksu “update-manager -c”

oh and if you have any problems upgrading (like it breaks), try sudo apt-get install -f and sudo apt-get upgrade a few times before you ask for help, that should fix things
